Beth has cereal and peaches and coffee for breakfast, and helps out with sweeping the floors in the kitchen and dining room.
This morning, I tell Beth about the weekend -- getting her ready for the trip back home. She's crestfallen at first. "Oh no, Nancy," she says, "ohhhhhh." But we keep talking and she starts getting excited. She's really excited for the California trip. "Ken and Phuong are going and they're taking me too," she says. "All of us, all three of us, are going to California!"
We see that Scott is online, so we get to have a little video conference with him. We see Jeff and the kitty and doggies, too. Beth has a long chat with Scott.
After that, it's time for the pool. I work outside while she swims. She practiced every stroke -- sidestroke, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle. A little bit of diving, even.
Later, I have to go to work, so she gets ready for Curves. Tom takes her and runs errands while she's working out.
By the time I get home, they're all home too. We're having dinner at home -- tonight it's rice with grilled chicken and veggies, a little teriyaki sauce. Still some leftover birthday cake for dessert.
A quiet day.
