Got Beth up early so she could go to the Rotary meeting with me for breakfast. Everyone knows her and greets her by name, and just in case they don't, she is introduced to the group. She stands up and waves.
Afterward, back at home, it's music and art in the morning.
In the afternoon, it's a bright, sunny, gorgeous day and the pool calls! Beth changes and spends the afternoon outside swimming, relaxing and reading. She found a book here on Gnomes and she actually read it all. She read out loud, quietly, to herself and occasionally giggled. I was glad to see that because with her other books, she just carries them around -- I had never seen her open them and actually read them. I'm glad she still likes to read; I think we just have to make sure it's something that interests her.
It was such a nice day, when I was done with my meetings, I moved my office outside too. We were all outside when Brian, Pam and Simon dropped by. There was lots of laughing and splashing going on -- Simon is really enjoying the pool!
For dinner, I grilled some chicken and veggies and mixed it all up with some pasta and feta cheese and fresh herbs from my garden. We finished off the watermelon for dessert. A very summery day and dinner.
And off to bed!
