Snowy and cold, birds at the window, and we have a video conference with Scott! What fun -- we talk about our New Year's evenings and make plans for 2010.
Last night, we went to Max's house for his New Year's party. Lots of our friends were there, and Beth had a nice time talking with everyone. After that, we stopped by Aixois to see our friends there. It was busy and bustling and warm!
Beth dressed up for the parties. She wore her sequin velvet jacket and looked lovely!
Today, we will have a dinner at home and will help Bethie get all packed and ready for the trip tomorrow morning.
I wanted to mention that we heard from Don and Kathy -- they had sent a lovely Xmas card and a photo of them; it's hanging by Beth's desk with Scott's and her other cards. I sent them the link to this blog and this is what they wrote back to us:

What a great visit she had with you. It was nice seeing her making cookies and with all your family at the parties.

What an adventure going to the airport. Thank God she had a good flight home and how brave of her to travel alone.
